About Laurie Waterhouse Interiors
Mother-daughter team Laurie Waterhouse and Cynthia Slavens personify the very philosophies which define the best of their business: professional skill, personal connection, and passionate creativity.
Originally from Connecticut, both Laurie and Cynthia spent formative years immersed in antiques. Laurie spent nearly twenty years in the business, first under the tutelage of her mother, and then as sole proprietor of the family's shop, Wayside Exchange Antiques of Wilton, Connecticut. As a child and adolescent, Cynthia spent countless hours with her mother at Wayside, developing her own appreciation for the aesthetic and stories embedded in the store’s many treasures.
Their passion for art, antiquities, history, and home lead them to a career of creating interiors that reflects an individual's personal tastes. Since relocating to Jackson in 1993, Laurie and Cynthia have established a vast network of satisfied clients and friends who return to them and their professional staff time and again for their design needs... whether it's selecting a fabulous lamp or designing a new home.
Laurie & Cynthia are renowned for their warm, approachable personalities, creative visions and keen sense of style and design. Their traditional sensibilities, hints of whimsy, formidable knowledge and indefatigable work ethic create an enjoyable process and your perfect retreat.
